A Customer Service Black Hole: My Frustrating Experience 📞🕳️


I'm sharing this as a warning to others about my terrible online shopping experience. We ordered a pair of glasses for our 12-year-old, but he had trouble seeing with them. A trip back to the doctor confirmed the pupil distance (PD) was incorrect. The website never even prompted us to provide it; they just assumed an adult's value. My conclusion from this ordeal is that you will never be able to reach a human at glassesusa and have a real phone conversation if you call them, so plan on frustration if your glasses are not correct. Email interactions are too slow, causing the process to drag on. It was only after leaving a public review that I was finally able to get in touch with someone to try and fix this mess.

Customer: Hello? I've been trying to reach someone for days. The glasses you sent for my son have the wrong pupil distance. He can't see out of them.

CS Rep: I am very sorry to hear about the issue with your son's glasses and the difficulty you've had contacting us. Could you please provide me with your order number so I can look into this immediately?

Customer: It's order #582910. Your website never asked for a PD measurement, you just used a default value. Why would you do that for a prescription? It's completely useless now.

CS Rep: I understand your frustration, and I sincerely apologize for the error and the inconvenience. I see the order details. We can remake the lenses with the correct PD at no charge. I will email you a prepaid return label and instructions for the exchange right away.

Customer: Fine, but I've read that we have to send them back before you'll even start the new ones. That leaves my son with no glasses. This whole process has been a nightmare.

CS Rep: I understand, and I apologize again for the process. Once we receive the tracking information for the return shipment, I can expedite the new order. I will personally monitor it to ensure it's completed as quickly as possible.

The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
